After graduating from the general grammar school in Opatija, in 1973 he enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka, graduating in 1979. After completing his military service and completing his internship, he passed the professional exam in 1981 and was employed at the Lovran Orthopedic Clinic as a secondary doctor. At that time, he performed the obligatory internship in primary health care in the DZ Opatija (Ambulance Station) in the period from 1982 to 1985.
He completed his postgraduate studies in clinical pathophysiology in 1986. With the realization of the right to specialization, he returned to the Clinic for Orthopedics in Lovran in 1985 as a specialist in orthopedics, and passed the specialist exam in 1989 at the Clinic for Orthopedics in Šalata, Zagreb.
During his studies, he visited the University of Lund (Sweden) in 1978 and from 1982 to 1985 at the Clinic of Traumatology in Ulm (Germany), where he actively participated in the treatment of trauma patients, especially participants in traffic accidents. After completing his specialization, he performed a complete orthopedic practice at the Lovran Orthopedic Clinic, and during the Homeland War he participated in the 111th Brigade as a doctor on assignments and activities for the HV in Ogulin and Gospić at the Croatian Medical Staff. battlefield.
He is an active member of the HLZ, as well as a member of the HOD. He has participated in several symposia on the topic of revision hip and knee arthroplasty. He has been to the Clinic of Orthopedics in Budapest and Frankfurt on several occasions, where he is introducing new methods of minimally invasive knee surgery (PPK) and cement-free hip endoprostheses.
He has been successfully working as an orthopedic specialist for 28 years, making a special contribution to improvement by applying methods in diagnosis, treatment or rehabilitation and other activities related to improving the health care of the population.
Pursuant to the conditions established by law, Art. 8 of the Ordinance for the recognition of the title of primarius, in 2008 he was granted the title - primarius.
Since 2019, he has been employed at the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation "Martin Horvat" Rovinj-Rovigno.
