Assistant Professor Ph.D. Marinko Rade is part of an international team consisting of scientists from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Israel, Finland and Croatia (doc. Rade), who were the first to prove quantitatively that the defect of the cartilaginous surface of the spine is hereditary, independently associated with limiting low back pain and is one of the main causes of intervertebral disc degeneration and modic changes in the vertebrae. As the leader of international research lines, mostly in Finland, he has won a number of international awards:
Author and co-author of 18 scientific articles published in internationally peer-reviewed CC and indexed Q1 scientific journals (Scientific Reports - Nature, Spine, European Spine Journal, Journal of Orthopedic Research, Current Molecular Biology Reports) and various book chapters.
In addition to the doctoral study of clinical medicine, he successfully attended two postdoctoral studies in the field of clinical medicine and neuroscience. His doctoral dissertation entitled “Between Neuroradiology and Neurophysiology: New Insights in Neural Mechanisms” can be downloaded at links.
Since 2014, he has been the director of the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation "Martin Horvat" Rovinj, where he manages the annual budget in the amount of HRK 24 million and coordinates clinical work related to 220 hospital beds. He planned, defended and implemented a turnover project that includes 105,000,000 kuna of investment in the hospital complex.
In the field of active business development, he recently received a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Global Executive Master in Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien), WU Executive Academy and Carlson School of Management. ), and completed a business negotiation program at Harvard Business School.
Within our institution he leads clinical-scientific and development projects.
