{"id":1182,"date":"2022-10-25T11:17:52","date_gmt":"2022-10-25T11:17:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bolnica-rovinj.hr\/?p=1182"},"modified":"2023-01-15T17:11:19","modified_gmt":"2023-01-15T17:11:19","slug":"komunikacijske-ploce-postavljene-u-cekaonice-djecjih-ambulanti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bolnica-rovinj.hr\/en\/novosti\/komunikacijske-ploce-postavljene-u-cekaonice-djecjih-ambulanti\/","title":{"rendered":"Communication boards placed in the waiting rooms of children&#039;s clinics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Awareness of the importance of using assisted communication is spreading further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the waiting rooms of the children&#039;s clinics (speech therapist, psychologist and educational rehabilitator clinic) of the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation &quot;Martin Horvat&quot; Rovinj-Rovigno, we installed communication boards so that our small patients with complex communication needs could more easily communicate their wishes, needs and feelings and how it would be easier for them to understand where they are going and what they will do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of using one of the forms of assisted communication is to achieve functional communication, full participation in age-appropriate activities, and the acquisition of new knowledge and experiences. It is these early experiences that are important for later language and speech development.
