The symposium was organized by the Early Intervention Team of the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation "Martin Horvat" Rovinj-Rovigno and the Children's Hospital Srebrnjak, the Reference Center of the Ministry of Health for Childhood Allergology, the Clinic for Pediatrics of the Faculty of Medicine of the JJ Strossmayer University in Osijek, with the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, the Istrian County, which is also the founder of the hospital, and the City of Rovinj.
The event brought together numerous pediatricians, school and family medicine doctors, and experts of various profiles who work to care for children, especially children with special needs and adolescents.
The rich program covered topics from the fields of neuropediatrics, pulmonology, allergology, cardiology, nephrology and rheumatology, radiology, otorhinolaryngology, anesthesiology and nutrition, with an emphasis on early diagnosis and modern therapeutic approaches.
The program also included a prominent lecture by Prof. Dr. Nigel Osborne, an internationally recognized expert, composer, and humanitarian, and Emeritus of the University of Edinburgh, whose work focuses on connecting music, science, and medicine, particularly in the field of music therapy.
By organizing such a professional gathering, the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation "Martin Horvat" Rovinj once again confirmed its important role in the development of modern healthcare and professional excellence, especially in the field of working with children and early intervention.
A special contribution to the successful realization of the symposium was made by the director, Barbara Peruško, whose continuous work and dedication further improves the quality of health services at the hospital.
