With the start of the new Department of Pediatric Rehabilitation, it will be ensured that the youngest patients with neuro-risk and developmental disabilities, from birth to the age of eighteen, receive all the necessary specific health services in a fully dedicated polyclinic area located on the ground floor of the building and covering a total net area of 395 m², which, in addition to the reception office, breastfeeding room and sanitary facilities, also consists of eight outpatient clinics and three therapy rooms, while on the first floor there is an inpatient section with 26 beds for children and their parents, covering a total net area of 459.16 m², which, in addition to the nurse's room, outpatient clinic, sanitary facilities and other auxiliary rooms, consists of ten multi-purpose patient rooms with five bathrooms, a playroom (living room) and a kitchen for patients. The entire basement area of the new Department of Pediatric Rehabilitation has a total net area of 581.24 m², and consists of nine multi-purpose halls for physical therapy for children and other auxiliary rooms.
Rehabilitation is carried out by trained members of the professional team who cooperate with each other at all levels of the rehabilitation process. Cooperation takes place through an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems and achieving set goals. The department has an early intervention team consisting of a pediatrician, a pediatric physiatrist, a pediatric orthopedist, a speech therapist, a psychologist, an educational rehabilitator, an occupational therapist and a physiotherapist, i.e. all the necessary staff who will provide adequate health care in the new Department for Pediatric Rehabilitation.
An indispensable part of the professional team are nurses and technicians, who, with their knowledge, clinical skills and continuous presence, ensure safety, support and quality of everyday care and significantly contribute to the success and integrity of the rehabilitation process.
