In Rovinj, on May 9, 2026, on the grounds of the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation "Martin Horvat" Rovinj-Rovigno, a traditional work action was held, organized by the City of Rovinj-Rovigno and the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation "Martin Horvat" Rovinj-Rovigno, where all friends of the Hospital gathered.
"The month of May is the month in which 138 years ago the Austrian authorities chose the City of Rovinj and the position on which they built this beautiful Hospital and left it to us as a legacy, so I am extremely pleased that this year we have come together not only to arrange the environment of our Hospital, but also to show unity, responsibility and care for the space in which we treat, help and restore hope to our patients every day.
As the Director of the Hospital, on behalf of all employees, patients and users, and on my own behalf, I would like to thank everyone who responded to this campaign and decided to make a personal contribution to the community with their work, and I would especially like to thank the City of Rovinj-Rovigno, the Rovinj-Rovigno Municipal Service, the Rovinj-Rovigno Public Fire Department and the Croatian Forests (Buzet Branch), i.e. the employees of the Rovinj-Rovigno Forestry Department who, with their donations and work, not only last week but throughout the year, tirelessly improve the environment of the Hospital and take care of our space. Your support is not only material assistance and assistance in work, it is a sign of trust, social responsibility and solidarity, for which I thank you very much!
"Every cleared path, every collected waste, every decorated and painted corner of the hospital grounds are a sign of our shared responsibility and love for this space," emphasized Hospital Director Barbara Peruško.
